In June, the average value of residential real estate in the country increased by 2,2% relative to May. This is the highest monthly increase this year. The price index on private housing increases continuously for 18 months. However, the rate of growth in previous months were not as great as in June. For comparison, in May the rate was 1.2%, and in April - 0,6%. In general, for April-June, residential real estate in Israel increased by 4,8% compared with the previous quarter, and since June last year to June 2010 - 22%, reports Globes, citing data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. It seems that government measures to stabilize prices on the Israeli housing in the early years was not enough, and the authorities need to undertake new efforts to "cool" market.
