The capital of Vietnam expects a surplus of hotel

In the next few years in Hanoi planned to implement more than 30 projects of hotel real estate. Now the city has 38 large hotels.

This year, Hanoi is expected to complete the construction of hotel complexes 6-8 category "five stars". Analysts CB Richard Ellis believes that the success of these projects will depend on the level of development of transport infrastructure, which has markedly improved in some areas, reports Vietnam Investment Review.

Improvement of infrastructure, as well as the relative stability of the national economy can be attributed to investor interest in the hotel market of the Vietnamese capital. At the same time, massive construction of hotels can lead to excess supply, which is especially important in connection with the expected decrease in the number of tourists.

According to forecasts Savills, tourist activity in the coming months will fall, thus reducing the level of occupancy of hotels and reduce the cost of staying in the rooms. In I quarter of these figures have declined from the previous quarter by 2,8% and 3,8% respectively.

It is also noted that the tourism downturn may be offset by demand for hotel properties by the representatives of the business.
