In I quarter the number of sold residential real estate in the country decreased by 26,1% on the previous quarter. The largest decline was observed in the Eastern Anatolian region - 61%. The three largest provinces - Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, the number of housing transactions fell by 24,8%, 28,2%, and 34.3%, respectively. In relation to the I quarter of 2009 the number of sales of objects in a residential segment declined by 21.1%, reports Today's Zaman, referring to data of Turkish Statistical Institute. Recall that in the IV quarter of the number of transactions in the Turkish residential property market has grown in both the quarterly and annual basis.
